You will want to know how to take the music from your own collection and put that onto your new iPhone, and you will also want to know how to access the huge libraries of music available on the internet. You will need a computer to do either of these, but it can be anything fairly recent. From the internet, you can get a software program which will make a copy of your CD music to your hard drive, and then you will need a connecting lead to effect the transfer to your iPhone.

The first step will be to get your existing music transferred. This will not take too long, as the software programs called “rippers” are capable of transferring music at much higher speeds than normal playback.
